sunday activities

This is how the day started off...

Well, that's after a 0300 and 0630 wake-up, courtesy of the puppy.

It's good though. I had time to clean the apartment from head to toe (except I didn't dust, I need a duster).

Beulah and I also hit up the local farmer's market. We got fresh-baked bread, sweet potatoes, ear-rings, and flowers. Lots of flowers. And the sunflowers from last week are still good. And I only have one big vase and one little vase. Looks like when I'm out with Esther this afternoon I'll be acquiring another one!

The best part of the farmer's market is that Beulah gets to play with other dogs and get petted by everyone. She is exhausted when we get home! Right now she's curled at my feet sleeping while Petunia (who napped the entire time we were gone) is roaming around trying to decide what to do with her day.

This might just be the perfect Sunday.

critter lovin

Ok, I promise to stop being annoying about the critters who live in this household really really soon. However, is this not the cutest thing you've ever seen? I mean, really? I like how the video even has it's own little soundtrack, due to the fact that I was watching a nature show at the time...

I can't tell you how relieved I am to have Petunia home safe and sound. I know cats do their own thing and it is to be expected that she will wander off now and then, but she is really the best cat I've had and I don't want to think about her disappearing on me. She's a real personality, that one!

Enjoy this little video and prepare yourself for some future postings about my other favorite subject: yarn. :)

petunia

Petunia is missing in action. She left Sunday afternoon sometime and hasn't been back since. I'm worried sick and just thinking something might have happened to her makes me want to curl up in a ball and cry. I've called the local animal shelter, but they are closed today and I am about to go out looking for her. She's my baby! I hope she's ok.

she endureth

Ok Daddy, I did what I could. Petunia is so patient with Beulah... I am impressed with her! She mostly just gets up and moves away when the puppy is getting on her nerves. This video was taken after she had endured several attempts at puppy play and was finally just done!

sunshine today

It is beautiful outside today. The sun is shining and the weather has cooled off so that now it is enjoyable to be outdoors again. This morning all three of us were outside enjoying the morning sunshine.

size matters

Ok Daddy, here we go. Size comparisons for Beulah.

Here she is at the vet this morning. This is the first time she has sat still since I got her and so I took full advantage!

She weighs 3.5 lbs. Mostly fluff. The vet was really nice and right down the road. I'll take Petunia there too when it's time for her annual shots. Beulah got a LOT of attention.

I tried to take one of Petunia and Beulah together. NOT easy to do. This is the best shot so far, but I'm working on it!

Here she is next to my foot. Kinda gives you a little bit of an idea.

The cool thing is that she won't shed and her hair is really soft. And she won't get really big. Perfect dog!
